The weekend builds intentionally - each practice opening something the next one deepens. Men consistently describe it not as a series of random insights but as a progressive awakening, one layer at a time.
What we move through together:
- A Mythic Framework - an ancient story of initiation told in pieces across the weekend, mapping your own descent and return
- Embodiment & Breath - getting the body involved where the mind has reached its limit, and breathwork that opens states beneath the ordinary
- Council & Dyad Work - speaking out loud what has only ever lived in silence, witnessed by other men
- Ceremony & Ritual - marking real thresholds in a way the psyche actually registers
- Ecstatic Dance - reclaiming the simple, wild joy of being fully alive

MEET YOUR GUIDES:
Ian MacKenzie is a filmmaker, mythopoetic guide, and founder of The Mythic Masculine. His films - Sacred Economics, Amplify Her, Lost Nation Road, and The Village of Lovers - explored the intersection of culture, love, and community that eventually led him to men's work.
His training spans multiple lineages - studying cultural repair with Stephen Jenkinson at the Orphan Wisdom School, four years at Tamera's Love School, and training in Council, Forum, and Transformational Psychotherapeutics. He lives on Vancouver Island with his family.
Deus Fortier is a transformational facilitator, Numa Breathwork practitioner, and Plant Medicine guide with 17 years of immersive practice in non-ordinary states of consciousness, earth-based spirituality, and trauma-informed embodiment work.
His training spans Kriya Yoga, body-centered psychotherapy, art therapy, and Accelerated Evolution Coaching. He brings a rare blend to AWE—equal parts precision and wildness, depth and levity—all rooted in his own devotion to this territory.
